Car Auction Online Basics

Things to do Before Selling Your Car Online

If you have considered selling a car online, then there are things to consider before doing so. You must know that a lot of sales on Ebay motors or any other car auction was successful because of preparation.

Selling a used car online is not the same as selling a book or a photo frame which simply entails uploading a picture, setting the bid start price, and posting bit of information. Selling a car on an online auction needs more preparation.

  1. List down important information. Make a list of all the car details that you think are important. Think of yourself as a buyer. What do you want to know? This might cover mileage, owner history, engine type, problems, car dent, etc.
  2. Determine a starting price for the bid. This is usually helpful so sellers cannot be on the losing end. Although Ebay Motors is an auction site where interested buyers make a bid, a seller can still list down the minimum bid.
  3. Create an attractive title for your Ebay post. Most bidders and buyers do not look at each item’s details. Many simply look at the titles and match their preferences with the right keywords. Make your title catchy and descriptive.
  4. In car auctions, one of the most powerful tools is the photo. Make sure that the car you are selling has a clear and updated photo. Take closer shots for car problem areas so you can gain buyer’s trust.
  5. Wash your car, be ready for questions, and test drives. Some bidders prefer to actually visit the seller in order to test drive the car.
